Up side…down side…different side
So I heard back from the school district I was waiting to hear from. Turns out it is a stimulus position designed to last less than 2 years (that might have been nice to know awhile ago…but oh well). They looked at the caseload numbers with the new principal and they decided they don’t need to hire anyone right now and they are going to wait until the school year starts to figure out everything. They said I’m the first person on their list if they do need someone but sadly, I can’t wait around for that and I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t be good to leave my job after the school year starts. That’s the down side.
The up side is I found another posting for a middle school EI position that I’m going to apply for.
My old school isn’t going to get me back that easy.
That’s really sad, you were really pumped about that job. I am super excited for you about the middle school EI position. Also, contact career services at CMU. They get faxes from school districts all the time about open positions. You may have some luck there…
